For Valentine’s day we’ve decided to drive to Amsterdam and spend th day there. I knew the town but it was the first time for Revaz.
For the ones who still haven’t been there, Amsterdam is a very small town (for a capital) built in a half circle. In the center you have the train station from where you see all the tourists coming. The first avenue is composed by bars, souvenir shops and museums. Then you enter in the perpendicular streets and arrive in the shopping center of the town. The next street is the red light district, the large prostitution street.
The first time you get there, you really can’t realize how much this town is free. Coffee shops at every corner, sex shops all around, buildings with big windows without curtains… It seems to be a town that still hasn’t changed since 1968.
We have been in Teaser babes bar, then visited the hashish museum, went to the shops, …
I would advise you, if you go by car, to park in the park+ride parking. It is 5,50€ and you get a metro ticket to the middle of the city. We didn’t know it and went to the main parking area in the middle of the town, costing 3,40€/hour.
