Here it goes again! We planned like every year, to fly to Turkey to see my parents in law. I thought we could find cheap tickets at this time of the year. Last times, we bought tickets reaaallly cheap: 39€ per person. But this time I was surprised to see tickets really became expensive. I surfed the internet, looking for low cost airlines.
From Brussels airport, flights are minimum 89€ per person. From Germany it is always cheaper. The cheapest ticket was 19€. But this all is what I lies! In fact, flight companies attract you with such prices,but when you go further with your booking, you can see you’ll have to pay a fee for the fuel, then another one for the airport tax, service fee, and finally your ticket costs 3 times the price they were advertising! You think you’ll fly for 80€, 2 persons, go and return but you’ll pay 260€.
This kind of thing disgusts me. Because you have no other choice but accepting it, because you won’t find cheaper.
So I used to spend 160€ for my transport, flight and car from and to the airport, and spend the rest of my money on shopping and having fun in Turkey.
No I spend 400€ for the way and think I’ll have to be economic there! That’s a pity for tourism, for me, and travellers like me. Ok, you can think I’m paranoïd complaining about such a small price for my travels, but the day you’ll have the oppotunity to travel for 20 bucks, you’ll cry to if you have no other way but tp spend more after. Am I wrong?
On the other hand, I understand airlines; they just prove you they are cheap but the country you’re in is sucking everything you’ve got. That’s Europe!
